INSTALLING MIRROR ON RIGHT DOOR
From 1978 Models:
Disconnect ground wire at battery.
Remove and install instrument panel trim at
bottom left 51 45 180.

Pull off beam trim and carpet as required on
driver´s side.
Feel out opening and puncture Acella plastic
sheet.
Installation: Cover opening with Acella plastic
sheat.

Open up standard round male plug.

Connect long extra wire harness on round male
plug and route extra wire harness along standard
wire harness to door beam on passenger´s side.
Secure round male plug with standard clamp.

Installation: Cover opening with Acella plastic
sheet.

Open up standard round male plug.

Connect extra wire harness on round male plug.
Secure round male plug with standard clamp.
Route extra wires underneath carpet.

Loosen screw from below and remove cover (9).
Detach armrest at door plate.

Lift cover off of door inside handle.
Loosen screw and remove door inside handle
with escutcheon.
Installation: Door inside handle faces forward.

Detach door plate at door front and rear.
Lift bottom out of clamps and remove.
Installation:
Screw (1), front = sheet metal screw
Screw (2), rear = self-tapping screw

Lift door trim out of clamps and remove.
Installation: Replace damaged clamps or sockets.

Unscrew mounting screw for cover (1) and take
off cover from above carefully.

Unscrew screws (1 ... 3) and remove ornamental
plate.

Push foam rubber out of mirror and window
guide.

Pull off Acella plastic sheet carefully as required.
Guide in extra wires from bottom to top.

Connect extra wires on standard plug.

Insert plug connector in standard wire clamp
and cover with insulating tape.

Connect extra wires on plug from extra mirror.
Wrap insulating tape around plug connection.

Push plug connector in and mount extra mirror.

Lift out standard mirror switch on driver´s side
and pull plugs off of switch.
Cut off bar on switch from installation kit to
distance A = 10 mm (0.394´´).

Connect plugs on new mirror switch and insert
in trim panel.
Connect battery ground wire and check function
of mirror.
Reinstall all removed or detached parts and
paste trim.
